Alpha males are an important part of not only romance novels, but all genres. For day two of the hop Janiera Eldridge took a look into the psyche of one of her alpha males. Let’s see what she found out…

Janiera: Thanks for sitting down with me today Diego. I know you stay busy so I really appreciate you doing this.

Diego: No problem at all, thanks for having me. It’s not often I get interview request so this should be fun!

Janiera: I certainly hope you will find it fun. Now, l have to ask is it true? Are you really a vampire who once guarded the vampire king?

Diego: hmmmm if I told you that I would have to kill you. Your blood smells really sweet so it wouldn’t be hard. *light chuckle*. I can tell you I was a security guard but that is about it.

Janiera: um, ok? Well then, let’s move on. Out of your group of friends you’re considered the alpha male. Why do you think that is?

Diego: Well, not to sound egotistical or anything but I fight really hard to keep my body perfect. I’m 6’2 which is a decent height and with muscle I can be really intimidating. I don’t like intimidating people but there is a time and place for everything. People take you more serious when you have a dominate personality and you need a dominate body to go with it.

Janiera: Makes sense. There are rumors that  your friend Christian is the alpha male of his werewolf pack and the two of you are currently feuding. What do you have to say about that?

Diego: Well first of all I don’t know about the werewolf thing but there is absolutely no feud going on. Christian is an alpha male for a completely different reason I am. If we’re in a tricky situation he can mentally take control and figure it out every time. Its classic for two alpha males to bump heads but we’re boys we don’t really do that.

Janiera: That’s nice to hear for once. There are rumors that you and Ani are back together. Would you like to clear the air?

Diego: *deep laugh* Yes, certain circumstances have brought us together and we’re trying to make things work. As you probably know, Ani is a real handful but it is wonderful to be connected with her again.

Janiera: That is so sweet. Ani is considered one of the social elite here in San Diego. She goes to all of the parties and she is known to have quite the temper. How does an alpha male such yourself deal with an alpha female like Ani?

Diego: I don’t really look at it as “dealing” with her. I look at it as foreplay.  Unless Ani is defending herself or someone she loves, her bark is worst than her bite. I find aggressive women sexy and Ani is about as aggressive as you can get.

Janiera: Wow that sounds like a hot relationship right there! People know you as this strong and sexy alpha but what is something people don’t know about you that would surprise them?

Diego: I’m never going to live this down but I love dogs, like little and mid-sized dogs. I don’t like Pitbulls or anything like that. I love those mid-sized white or brown dogs with the warm bellies. I love those to death!  I’ve had a few during my life, this is actually the first time in a while I haven’t had one running around my house. Now, I’m going to have to go get one. *low laugh*

Janiera:  ha ha, sorry about that. I’m sure a lot of women are cooing when reading that. You with a little white dog might just be the cutest thing we’ve ever seen. I’d like to finish the interview with a few fun questions. What is your favorite book?

Diego: Easy, The Autobiography of Malcolm X. He was an incredible man! I’ve read this book more than 10 times. His strength and courage during such a difficult time for black people is awe inspiring. I just love reading his strong minded and intelligent words. Even in the 21st century they still mean so much.

Janiera:  Very interesting, I’m sure many people feel the same. I know you’re often busy, maybe too busy to watch TV but I thought I’d ask anyways: What is your favorite TV show?

Diego: I don’t have a lot of TV, that’s why I love Netflix so much because I can catch up on so many TV shows . I recently watched The Walking Dead. Holy crap that show is awesome! I hate zombies though. They are the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen; they’re not a good representation of the living dead.

Janiera: They are pretty gross and that show is so addicting! I want to thank you so much for chatting with me today. I’m sure the ladies loved getting a little glimpse into the mind of the Latin alpha male as they call you.

Diego: *Blushing* Your too kind and beautiful.

Janiera: Why thank you! Last question for the road: What is your favorite movie?

Diego: Psycho. I love horror/slasher films and Psycho was the original slasher film. It busted so many barriers in cinema.  I Could watch it a million times and it would not get old.

Janiera: It is a classic, just like you. Thanks again for stopping by and best of luck on all of your future endeavors.
