Interview with Jenna Pizzi

What inspired your new release? My last book Sweet Serendipity was inspired by real life situations I have encountered over the last couple of years. It touches upon many family situations that many people can relate to.

Tell us about any WIPs you have
I have 9 in the works, but Exhale will be my next book. It is a romantic suspense dealing with domestic violence. I also am working on My Last Breath which is my own story of surviving and breaking the silence of domestic violence.

How many people ask you to read their books?
Not too many. I simply explain that as much as I’d love to, I have NO time to myself. I wish I could just sit and read, but right now it’s not an option.

In a word sum up your writing style
Real-life situations.  I want to tell stories that pull at the heart-strings, and people can relate to.

Do you have a character you enjoyed writing the most? Rebecca from Sweet Serendipity is my favorite. She is me! Everything I wrote about her is all the things I myself have gone through, only when I wrote it…it hadn’t happened yet…lol! Funny how that works!

Is there a genre you would like to try? I still love fantasy, and have a few more paranormal romance books in the works. Every now and again, it’s good to escape reality for a while.

Could you live without coffee? NO!

What’s your favorite thing about the writing process? Letting the story flow all on its own and not knowing exactly what is going to happen until I type it.

Three facts about you
*I have a big heart and would go out of my way to make someone happy.
*I will fight for what I believe in, whether it is for my family or a complete stranger.
* I am addicted to superhero movies. I could watch them over and over again.

Do you believe in UFOs? Yes!

What was your favorite snack growing up? Cheez-its. Still is!

Would you rather have fame or fortune? Neither really. I am a quiet person who likes to stay in the background, and money only causes other problems. Do I want to be comfortable….yes.  I like going out in public and seeing someone reading one of my books and they have no idea it is me.

Are you an introvert or an extrovert? Introvert all the way

Your thoughts on Zombies…..HATE THEM!

Do you believe in the Loch Ness Monster? No!

Are you a tweeter, a re-tweeter, or you couldn’t care less about Twitter? I don’t get on Twitter too much. I need to start.

Would you rather sit on a porch with sweet tea {insert other beverage if tea isn’t your thing} or go hiking with a bottle of water and a smile? Ahhhhhhh!!!! You nailed both things…..I hike with my water and then come home and relax on the deck with an ice cold Corona.

Your favorite type of music
*I’d have to say a little of all. It all depends on my mood, but lately I’ve been a little bit country.

Your favorite color of Skittle Yellow

Your favorite quote
*Everything happens for a reason

Your favorite way to spend an evening

Tell us what you are working on now!

Anything you would like to say to the aspiring authors reading this blog? Write! Best advice I got from Claire Cook was just sit down and write…..so I did!
